Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We review this site against those guidelines and fix what we find. Accessibility is ongoing work, so if something doesn't work for you, please tell us.
What we do
- Text alternatives. Images that carry meaning have descriptive alt text.
- Keyboard access. Every page can be navigated with a keyboard. Focus is clearly visible, and a "Skip to main content" link appears at the top of each page.
- Readable contrast. We check text and button colors against WCAG contrast ratios.
- Labeled forms. Form fields have labels that screen readers announce.
- Reduced motion. Scroll animations are turned off when your device asks for reduced motion. Embedded videos have player controls, so they can be paused.
- Transcripts and captions. We produce AI-generated transcripts for our podcast and video content, and are adding transcripts to episode pages and captions to videos.
Known limitations
- Some video players on this site are provided by third parties (Vimeo and YouTube). Their players have their own accessibility features, which we don't control.
- Payments are processed on Stripe's hosted checkout, which has its own accessibility support.
- Older videos may not have captions yet. If you need a transcript or a captioned version of any video, ask and we'll provide one.
