Guest Release and Marketing Terms

1. Introduction

These Guest Release and Marketing Terms (the "Terms") apply when you apply for, register for, book, record, buy or take part in any of our Shows or Programs. By submitting an application, registering, booking, recording, checking out or taking part, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't apply, register or take part.

Who we are. "We," "us" and "our" mean EP Management, Inc., a Texas corporation doing business as Authority Builder, 2560 King Arthur Blvd, Suite 124-114, Lewisville, TX 75056 · support@authoritybuilder.io. EP Management, Inc. also produces shows and programs under other brands, including Investor Fuel and Founder Fuel, and these Terms cover all of them.

Definitions.

  • "You" means you as an applicant, guest, Authority Spotlight buyer, participant or registrant.
  • "Show" means any podcast, show, series or video program we produce, own or publish, now or in the future, under any brand, on any topic, in any industry. That includes the REI Pros Show, Authority Fuel and shows hosted by our Guest Host clients.
  • "Program" means any of our guest spots, Authority Spotlight packages, challenges, webinars, workshops, applications, strategy calls and other marketing programs, free or paid.
  • "Recording" means any audio, video, image, transcript or other material captured before, during or after your appearance or participation, including pre-interviews, screening calls and any additional videos you record with us.
  • "Content" means Recordings and everything we create from them: episodes, clips, shorts, articles, posts, show notes, images, Authority Spotlight assets and anything else, in any format.
  • "Tools" means the software we make available in your portal, including the Authority Snapshot and the Authority Link page.

These Terms apply whether or not you're selected, approved, booked, recorded or published. Our Content Policy (https://authoritybuilder.io/content-policy) is part of these Terms. If you're an Authority Builder client, your Client Agreement governs your own client content.

2. No fee and no compensation

Applying to and appearing on a Show is free. We don't pay guests. You receive no compensation, royalty or fee of any kind for your application, your appearance or any use of your Recording or Content. Optional paid Programs, such as the Authority Spotlight, are covered in Section 12.

3. An application is not a booking

Submitting an application doesn't guarantee an interview, a recording or publication. It's a request to be considered.

4. Approval doesn't guarantee recording or publication

Even if your application is approved, accepted or scheduled, we may decline, cancel or postpone your appearance at any point before recording, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice.

Even after you record, we may never publish it. We may decide not to publish any Recording or Content, in whole or in part, and we don't have to tell you why. Approval, scheduling and recording create no right to publication.

5. Selection and editorial discretion

Each Show is an editorial product, and we decide who appears on it and what's published. We may decline, cancel or end any application, booking, recording or participation at any time, for any reason not prohibited by law, including if you're not a fit for the Show or its audience, or if anything in your application is inaccurate. We may edit, cut, shorten, reorder, mute, reformat or remove any part of any Recording or Content.

6. Format and platform

Our Shows are video programs. We choose the recording platform (for example, Zoom or Riverside) and the format, and we may change either at any time. We don't promise to change the format or platform for any guest, including recording audio-only or using a different platform. Appearing on camera is part of the Show.

7. Accessibility

We want our Shows, Programs and website to be usable by as many people as possible. If you need an accommodation to apply, record or take part, email support@authoritybuilder.io with what you need. We'll review each request individually and let you know what we can offer.

We offer our Shows and Programs as designed. A request doesn't obligate us to change a Show's or Program's format, platform, requirements or nature, and nothing in these Terms promises any particular accommodation. This section doesn't limit any right you have under applicable law.

8. Ownership and your release

We own all Recordings and Content. To the extent you have any rights in them, you assign those rights to us.

You grant us, and anyone we authorize, a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable right to use your name, image, likeness, voice, biography, logo, company name, statements and Content, in whole or in part, edited or unedited, in any media now known or later developed, for any purpose, including producing, publishing, distributing, repurposing, advertising and promoting our Shows, Programs, brands and services and those of our affiliates.

You don't need to approve any use, and you release us from all claims relating to these uses, including claims for invasion of privacy, right of publicity, and the editing or presentation of your appearance, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

If you bought the Authority Spotlight, Section 12 gives you a license to use your Authority Spotlight assets for your own marketing.

9. Removal and takedown

We may remove or unpublish any Content at any time, from any channel we control, for any reason.

You can ask us to remove your episode or other Content by emailing support@authoritybuilder.io with a link and your reason. We'll review the request, but removal is at our discretion and we're not required to honor it.

If we agree to remove Content, allow up to 10 business days. We'll often move faster. We can only remove Content from channels we control, not copies others have shared or downloaded.

10. AI disclosure

We use artificial intelligence to help produce Content, including transcripts, edits, clips, show notes, written pieces, images and outreach messages. AI can make mistakes. Content may be produced and published automatically.

11. Your conduct and statements

Our Shows are educational, not sales pitches. That's true for every guest, including Authority Spotlight buyers. You're welcome to close with a short call to action (where people can find you or how to reach you), but the episode isn't a place to pitch.

When you appear on a Show or take part in a Program, you agree to follow our Content Policy. You won't make defamatory statements, offer securities or ask the audience to invest in a deal, promise income or results, or share anyone's private or confidential information. You're solely responsible for what you say.

Your appearance isn't an endorsement of you, your business, your products or your services. Any other promotion of your business on a Show must be approved by us in advance. Statements made by guests and hosts are their own opinions; we don't verify them.

Guests of Guest Hosts. If a Guest Host client invited you onto one of our Shows, these Terms still apply. The Guest Host isn't our agent and can't change these Terms.

12. The Authority Spotlight and other paid Programs

  • What you buy. The Authority Spotlight is a one-time package for approved guests: Content created from your appearance, delivered in your portal, plus access to the portal and Tools. What's included and the price are shown at checkout, and that description governs. We may deliver more than described; anything extra isn't a promise for next time.
  • Not a purchase of publication or placement. Your episode is booked whether or not you buy. The Authority Spotlight pays for the assets and Tools. It doesn't buy publication or a better spot on any Show, and Sections 4, 5 and 9 still apply.
  • When it's offered. The Authority Spotlight is offered to approved guests until their recording ends.
  • Your license. You may use your Authority Spotlight assets for your own marketing, including after any refund. You may not re-upload full episodes to another feed.
  • Lifetime access to the portal and Tools. Your purchase includes access to your portal and the Tools for as long as we offer them ("lifetime access"). We may update, change or replace the Tools over time. Access ends if you receive a refund, or if we end your access for a breach of these Terms or our Content Policy.
  • 30-day, no-questions-asked, 100% money-back guarantee. If you're not completely satisfied, email support@authoritybuilder.io within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. No questions asked. You keep the Authority Spotlight Content we've already delivered (we'll email it to you), and your access to the Tools ends when the refund is processed. After 30 days, all charges are final.
  • Challenge VIP. A one-time upgrade to a challenge, with what's included as shown at checkout (for example: an Authority Interview and Content created from it, plus lifetime access to the challenge recordings, your portal and the Tools). "Lifetime access" means for as long as we offer them; we may update, change or replace them over time. 30-day, no-questions-asked, 100% money-back guarantee: email support@authoritybuilder.io within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. You keep any Content already delivered, and your access to the recordings, portal and Tools ends when the refund is processed.
  • Add-ons and one-time offers (for example, the Custom 90-Day Content Calendar and the Podcast Domination Kit). Digital products, delivered in your portal and by email. Covered by the same 30-day guarantee; after a refund, access to them ends. If you click to add a one-time offer after checkout, the payment method you just used is charged for it. No new form is needed.
  • Challenge points and prize drawings (only when a challenge runs one). No purchase is necessary: free and VIP participants earn points the same way. Prizes, how points are earned and the drawing date are announced in the challenge. Ties are broken by random drawing. Winners are notified by email and must reply to claim within 14 days. Void where prohibited.
  • Other paid Programs (challenges, workshops and similar) have the price, inclusions and any refund terms shown at checkout. If checkout says nothing about refunds, all charges are final once processed.
  • Client add-ons and upgrades aren't available to guests or Authority Spotlight buyers. This doesn't apply to the Challenge VIP upgrade or the challenge add-ons and one-time offers above. To learn about becoming a client, book a strategy call.

13. Communications consent

By submitting your information, you agree that EP Management, Inc., its brands (including Authority Builder, Investor Fuel and Founder Fuel) and anyone acting for us may contact you at the email address, phone number and social accounts you provide, by email, text message (SMS/MMS), phone call, voicemail, direct message, automated or prerecorded calls and messages, and AI-assisted or AI-voice calls and messages, about your application, scheduling and appearance, and about any of our programs, products, services, events and offers, including to sell them to you.

Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time, or email support@authoritybuilder.io to opt out of any channel.

14. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to apply, appear, buy or take part.

15. Accuracy of your application

The information you give us must be true and complete. We may decline or remove you, or not publish your Content, if it isn't.

16. Relationships and authority

Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, joint venture or agency relationship. Booking coordinators, producers, hosts, lead managers, Guest Hosts and other contractors don't have authority to guarantee an appearance or publication, change a Show's format, or change these Terms. Only a written statement from an officer of EP Management, Inc. can do that.

Appearing on a Show or taking part in a Program doesn't give you membership in, access to, or benefits from any other program, community or product of ours.

17. No guarantee of results

We don't promise or guarantee any result from appearing on a Show or taking part in a Program, including exposure, views, followers, leads, sales or income.

18. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any incidental, consequential, indirect, special, exemplary or punitive damages arising from your application, any decision not to book, record or publish you, any edit or removal of Content, your appearance or your participation. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing.

19. Indemnity and hold harmless

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless EP Management, Inc. and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors and agents from any claims, losses, damages, costs and legal fees arising from: anything you say or provide on a Show or in a Program; Content created from your appearance or submissions; inaccurate information you give us; and your breach of these Terms.

20. Disputes

  • Arbitration. Any dispute arising from these Terms, any Show or any Program is resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, seated in Denton County, Texas.
  • Class action and jury waiver. You agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative proceeding, and you waive any right to a jury trial.
  • Court relief. We may seek injunctive relief in court to protect our intellectual property, Content or confidential information.
  • Law and venue. Texas law governs, without regard to its choice-of-law rules. Venue for any court matter is the state and federal courts in Denton County, Texas.

21. General

  • Changes. We may update these Terms at any time. The current version is posted at https://authoritybuilder.io/guest-terms. The version in effect when you apply, register, record or buy applies to that activity.
  • Privacy. Our privacy practices are described at https://authoritybuilder.io/privacy.
  • Severability. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • No waiver. Not enforcing a term isn't a waiver of it.
  • Assignment. We may assign these Terms; you may not.
  • Survival. Sections 8, 9 and 18–21 survive the end of your appearance or participation.
  • Electronic acceptance. Checking the box, clicking to agree or completing checkout counts as your signature.
